Yeamans Hall Club

welcome to the lowcountry

We are so excited to welcome you to this unique and historic club to celebrate our wedding. We know you’ll love the sweeping landscapes, centuries-old oak trees, historic architecture, and southern charm that make it so special! We invite guests to stay on property to experience the beauty of Yeamans Hall all weekend long.

Learn more about the club below. We ask you to please adhere to all club policies when on site. We can’t wait to see you there!

  • We are so excited to celebrate with you at Yeamans Hall, a place known for its timeless charm and rich history. As you will experience, the club’s traditions are part of what makes the place so special. In order to preserve this atmosphere for everyone to enjoy, we ask that you please familiarize yourself with and adhere to all club policies while on property.

    Dress Code:

Appropriate attire is required for the Clubhouse, golf course, and Club buildings at all times. Appropriate daytime attire includes collared shirts, bermuda shorts, golf skirts, and dresses. Men’s shirts must collared and be tucked in at all times, and men are asked to remove caps when inside Club buildings.

Please note, the Clubhouse requires coat and tie for gentlemen after 6:45pm. Women’s attire at this time is expected to be similarly informed (sundresses or blouses and skirts or pants).

Unacceptable clothing includes t-shirts, tank tops, sports clothing, jeans, cut-offs, denim garments, swimming attire, sweat suits, and flip flops.

If you have any questions about the dress code, please don’t hesitate to reach out to the bride or groom!

    No Tipping Policy:

Yeamans Hall has a strict No Tipping Policy. Gratuities are automatically included for appropriate services in the dining room, golf, housekeeping, and transportations. The staff will not accept any additional tips, and please do not offer them.

    Technology Policy:

The Club requests that all cell phones be placed on silent and any cell phone conversations be limited to your vehicle, accommodations, or the Clubhouse phone booth. Non-disruptive use of a mobile device or laptop is considered acceptable use if done discreetly, and not in Clubhouse Dining areas. During breakfast only, diners are permitted use of an electronic device for reading purposes.

    Smoking Policy:

The entire Clubhouse and all of the on-site accommodations are non-smoking facilities, inclusive of electronic vape devices. You may enjoy a cigarette, pipe, or cigar on the various porches and patios located off the Living Room, Library, or the porches of the Cottages. Please be mindful that the bride abhors cigarette smoke, so apply reasonable judgement when deciding to smoke on shared patios or porches.

    Speed Limit:

For anyone driving on property, please note the Club’s speed limit is 20 mph. Further, we ask that you are mindful of players teeing off or putting. You must yield to all golfers when driving on property.

  • Yeamans Hall Club spans 1,100 acres of rolling woods and marshlands. You can get lost!

If you are staying on property, transportation services can be provided by the Club. Please provide you flight arrival time to the bride and groom for assistance in arranging pickup. Transportation to and from downtown Charleston and return transportation to the airport can be arranged by guests by notifying the front desk.

Flat rates for transport by the Club range from $10 to $55 per person per way. We recommend arranging your pickups and drop-offs in larger groups (max 11) minimize cost. Please reach out to the bride and groom for more detail on the transportation pricing.

Yeamans Hall is a private club. If you choose to travel outside of the Club using Uber or Lyft, please call and notify the front desk of your driver’s impending arrival. This will assist in allowing your driver access to the property and directing them to the Clubhouse.

  • We invite our guests to play golf during the wedding weekend. If you are interested in one or more tee times over the weekend, please reach out to the bride and groom for more information. Tee times will be available on a first come, first serve basis. If you choose to travel with your clubs, they can be stored at the Golf Shop for the duration of your stay. If you are not traveling with your clubs, rentals are available for a fee.

  • We encourage our guests to take advantage of all the Club has to offer. Yes, there is more than golf! While on property, we invite you to read in the Library, enjoy a game of croquet on the Lawn, play cards or backgammon in the Card Room, watch sports in the Golf Shop, and take in the nature and wildlife on one of the many nature trails on property. Alternatively, the Clubhouse bar is always open!

A note on wildlife: The natural beauty and wild landscape of Yeamans Hall is incredibly special. While we encourage you to explore the grounds on the designated trails, please pay attention to signage and be aware of the animals that call Yeamans home. We recommend wearing bug spray and staying a respectful distance from the ponds, which contain alligators.

  • Please reach out to the bride and groom as soon as possible if you plan to stay on property. If you plan to golf, we highly recommend an on-site stay.

All on-site accommodations are within a short walk of the Clubhouse. Rooms are spread throughout a variety of cottages, which share lawns and courtyards. All rooms thoughtfully appointed in the charm and style of the club. Certain rooms contain separate living rooms, porches, and kitchens. Many rooms can be interconnected if desired. Breakfast is included in the price of your stay.

The comfort and historic feel of Yeamans Hall is one of our favorite things about the Club. We know you will love it!

  • Dining on property outside of the wedding events will be limited to guests of the Club. Guests will be set up with an account for payment of all charges accrued outside of the wedding events (lunch, dinner, drinks, golf, transportation, etc.). Breakfast is included in the price of your stay.

The dining room may be open for dinner on Thursday, depending on the number of people that have arrived and would like to dine on property. Please let the bride and groom know what day and time you plan to arrive and if you plan to dine at the Club on Thursday evening.

Please note there will be no dinner service on Friday evening due to the hosting of the rehearsal dinner. We recommend making a dinner reservation in downtown Charleston, which will put you a short walk from welcome drinks!
